This will (hopefully) be the last post of the Nexus 9k QoS series. At the end of the last post, policies have been applied:
- At the system level
- To FEX HIF ports
- To L3 Uplinks connected to the campus core
- To front-panel ports
Now we need to verify that the policies are implemented. Most of the policies were applied using the ‘no-stats’ option, which disables statistics for the policy and conserves a considerable amount of TCAM. For verification purposes, however, the policies were applied to some ports with statistics enabled.
Some problems were encountered during this process which will be explained as we go. First, we’ll see if traffic on the front-panel port connected to the NetApp is being classified and assigned to the proper qos-group for queueing:
